California Privacy Rights
Effective Date: November 3, 2025
This notice supplements the Paidwork Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). It summarizes the rights you have regarding your personal information and how to exercise them.
1. Who Is Covered
You are entitled to these rights if you are a California resident and Paidwork processes personal information about you in a business capacity. “Personal information” includes data that directly or indirectly identifies, describes, or can be reasonably linked to you or your household.
2. Your Privacy Rights
California residents have the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:
- Right to Know: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell/share.
- Right to Delete: Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, unless we need it for a permitted purpose.
- Right to Correct: Request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Direct us not to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Paidwork does not sell data in the traditional sense.
- Right to Limit Sensitive Data Use: Restrict how we use sensitive personal information, where applicable.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Receive equal service and pricing even if you exercise your privacy rights.
3. How to Submit a Request
You can exercise your rights by:
- Submitting a request through the Paidwork Privacy Center inside the app or at policies.paidwork.com/privacy-policy.
- Emailing us at privacy@paidwork.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.
- Calling our toll-free number at +1 (888) 689-7744.
4. Verification and Authorized Agents
For security, we verify every request using information such as your account email, recent activity, or government-issued ID. If you appoint an authorized agent, we require a signed permission letter or power of attorney, plus verification of your identity.
5. Response Times and Appeals
Paidwork will confirm receipt of your request within 10 days and provide a substantive response within 45 days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will inform you. If your request is denied, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing privacy@paidwork.com with “Appeal” in the subject line.
6. Incentives and Non-Discrimination
Paidwork may offer voluntary loyalty or referral programs that provide financial incentives for data you choose to share. Participation is optional, and you can opt out at any time by adjusting your account settings. We will never deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your privacy rights.
